Most brides complain that their friends are not doing enough for their bridal showers, yet brides preparing for a second marriage sometimes think another shower is a little too much to ask of friends and family.
There’s nothing inappropriate about a shower for your second wedding. And there is also nothing wrong with asking whoever is thinking of throwing one to make it something that is different and more meaningful. Be open to the possibility of a shower that fits your style, as well as warms your heart! Hopefully, you will be showered with gifts related more to who you are now.
Being showered with love and support is a good thing, too!
I was one of those brides to pleaded with friends and family not to throw a shower when I married for the second time. They had all gone through it with me 18 years before and I dreaded the thought of a typical hen party. I really didn’t want them to go to any trouble. They surprised me, anyway.
